When Trish and Nichole met at their children’s school book fair back in 2018 and talked openly about their issues with food, along with the feeling of being left out, they realized they had to do something to help people reclaim their seats at the table. They both, along with their families, follow special diets due to their personal challenges with an auto-immune disease and food allergens. Though they discovered plenty of allergen friendly products in the market, very few delivered on taste and flavor.
They also learned about the negative social, emotional, financial, and physical impact a special diet can have on a family – and that the #1 pain point for these families is sharing food with the people they love.
They put on their combination entrepreneur and problem solver hat to start Every Body Eat® and make clean, delicious snacks—something big food companies had told them was “too difficult.” Together, they assembled a team to create delicious foods, without the top 14 food allergens or corn, that people could enjoy regardless of dietary restrictions or preferences.
For Nichole, Every Body Eat® is more than just the integrity of our food, it also reflects the world that she wants to see: every body is enough, and limitations bind nobody. Living our mission to give Every Body a Seat at the Table, both literally and figuratively, their urban manufacturing facility is not only free from the top 14 food allergens plus corn, but they also employ an amazing diverse team that reflects our community; over 70% of our team is BIPOC.
