Rebecca Styn, Ph.D

FOUNDER, BLIND TIGER SPIRIT-FREE COCKTAILS

In 2017, Rebecca opened a speakeasy bar and restaurant in Erie, PA called Room 33. In March of 2020, they were mandated to takeout only due to the challenges of the pandemic. At the time, 90% of their sales were bar sales, and selling alcohol to go in Pennsylvania was illegal.  Instead of shuttering their doors and laying off our team, they pivoted, bottling non-alcoholic versions of many of their classic cocktail recipes that patrons could enjoy at home – with or without a spirit.

The response was overwhelming.

Recognizing that there were not many non-alcoholic options in the market at the time, Blind Tiger, a moniker for speakeasies was born. Today, they are the only line of non-alcoholic cocktails inspired by classic drinks from the Prohibition era. Their product is also unique because these are ready-to-drink but also make an easy and sophisticated craft cocktail (2 - 1 ratio) with spirit. They are award-winning, mixologist-crafted, all-natural, gluten-free and shelf-stable.

Their mission?

To make a product so good, it should be illegal.
